The Plate People specialises in handcrafted, traditional Greek-style smashing plates, made from plaster/gypsum. Our products are designed for decorative and entertainment use at events such as weddings, parties, and cultural celebrations.

Product Information

All plates are handmade, meaning each item is unique. Variations in texture, colour, size (approx. 17cm), and shape are part of their charm and not considered faults.
Our plates are designed to break easily and safely, but should still be handled responsibly.
Customisation (e.g. logos, text) is available on request and may require additional lead time and cost.

Orders & Payment

Orders can be placed through our website or by direct enquiry.
Full payment is required at checkout to confirm your order.
For bulk or customised orders, please contact us directly to arrange a quote and lead time.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse orders at our discretion (e.g. due to stock issues or incorrect pricing).

Shipping & Pickup

We currently ship Australia-wide. International orders may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis — please contact us to discuss.
Due to the fragile nature of our products, shipping costs may vary and are calculated based on order size and location.
For bulk orders, additional shipping charges may apply and must be confirmed prior to checkout.
Local pickup is available by appointment only. We will contact you to arrange a suitable time once your order is ready.

Delivery Timeframes

In-stock orders are typically processed within 3–5 business days.
For larger or customised orders, we require a minimum 2-week lead time.
We are not responsible for product damages or shipping delays caused by couriers or events beyond our control.

Returns & Refunds

Due to the fragile and handmade nature of our products, we do not accept returns for change of mind.
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the issue. We will assess the situation and arrange a suitable resolution where applicable.
Customised products are non-refundable, unless faulty.

Breakage & Liability

Our plates are designed for entertainment purposes and should be used in a safe, controlled environment.
The Plate People is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from misuse of our products.
By purchasing from us, you acknowledge the nature of the product and accept full responsibility for its use.

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and product designs, is the property of The Plate People and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.
