At The Plate People, we are committed to providing safe, timely, and reliable delivery of our handcrafted products, both within Australia and internationally.
We ship Australia-wide and internationally using trusted courier services. Shipping costs are calculated based on your order size, weight, and destination. For larger or wholesale orders, we may provide a custom shipping quote, and you may be required to add a separate shipping item to your cart before completing your purchase. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking details so you can monitor the delivery status.
International shipping is available to most countries. Please note that due to the fragile nature of our products, there is a higher risk of breakage during transit, particularly on international shipments. While we take great care in packaging all orders securely, The Plate People is not responsible for any damage that may occur during shipping, whether domestic or international. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this risk. International shipping rates and delivery times will vary depending on your location. Customs duties, import taxes, or local delivery fees may apply and are the responsibility of the buyer.
Orders of in-stock items are typically processed within three to five business days. For custom or bulk orders, we require a minimum lead time of two weeks. If your order is time-sensitive, we recommend contacting us in advance to confirm availability and turnaround times. Local pickup is available from our locations in Toongabbie and Condell Park, NSW by appointment only. Once your order is ready, we will contact you to schedule a convenient collection time. Please bring your order confirmation at the time of pickup.
Due to the handcrafted and delicate nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. If your order arrives with significant damage or is incorrect, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing info@theplatepeople.com with your order number and clear photographs of the issue. We will assess the situation and, if applicable, offer a suitable resolution at our discretion. Please note that minor imperfections or variations are considered normal due to the handmade nature of our plates.
Customised items — including those with logos, personalised designs, or text — are made to order and are non-refundable unless proven to be faulty.
